LiveMeeting Link - Conference Call for audio - 1-866-500-6738 (passcode 433978) Topic: Monitoring Blocking/Locking in SQL Server 2008 Speaker: Jason Wong Abstract: Using Windows 2008 Server, SQL Server 2008, and Visual Studio 2008, I am going to demo how to use the SQL Master database to monitor locking/blocking and obtain information, monitoring locking/blocking via webpage and email notification using Visual Studio C#.Net code. I will use T-SQL script to create a real-world locking/blocking scenario, then explain the .Net coded web monitoring notification program, and how it is done. If we have additional time, I am going to demo how to use Windows Performance Monitor to detect and improve database system performance issues.
